In the mid-April edition of This Week in Marketing, Sam and I bring in Jeff Smith – author of I Am Net Worthy. This book focuses on providing practical financial advice to millennials.

In this episode, we dive into the details of how to market a new book online – a task that is much more layered than it might appear!

In the first segment, we go over what exactly I Am Net Worthy entails, the message it sends, and how it can improve the lives of young adults. After the introduction, Jeff talks about the stages the book went through before it was published. According to Jeff, he says the key ingredient to successfully getting your book out there is to add actionable value to your target market.

Segment two and three are all about the launch. Jeff goes into detail about choosing the right marketing channels and everything that goes into the process. As what should come as no shock, Amazon is the place to start! Jeff then expands with a very insightful list of Do’s and Don’ts. Spoiler: Paid Social can do wonders to steer traffic into other marketing channels.

As we wrap up segment three, Jeff discusses the importance of reviews, how to form smart partnerships, and why seeking out speaking engagements is a game changer!

To finish off the show in segment 4, we give out some real-world examples of successful book launches, as well as what the future holds for I Am Net Worthy.
